Installation Location for Trailer Wiring on a 2014 Subaru Forester
Question:
After reviewing the installation video for the 2011 Forrester when I remove the drivers side foam cover their is no plug housing. Did Subaru do something different in 2014? Thanks.

While there are common places for the factory connections, every so often there are a few vehicles that have it in a different place. Subaru is actually notorious for this. The first place you are going to want to look is forward or rearward of where the connection is supposed to be.
If not located there, it may be on the other side of the vehicle. So you would basically follow the same instructions except on the opposite side of the vehicle.
In some instances the location was found behind a passenger side kick panel near the front of the vehicle. Finding it may require the removal of additional interior panels. If you just cannot seem to find it I recommend visiting a Subaru dealer and asking them to locate it for you.
