Capacity of Stromberg Carlson Base Pad Extreme
Question:
I am looking at the Stromberg Carlson Base Pad Extreme for Campers and Trailers - 6,000 lbs. Item # SC88VR. I would use it to support my tongue jack. I have a 2021 Rockwood MiniLite 2516S - this is a dual axle model weighing in at approx. 6,500. What weight calculation do I use to ensure this base pad will properly support my tongue jack. Please advise.

The Stromberg Carlson # SC88VR Base Pad Extreme has a 6000 lb capacity. Since your travel trailer weighs 6500 lbs, the trailer's tongue weight would be 10-15% ore that, which would be between 650 and 975 lbs which is well under the 6500 lb capacity of the # SC88VR. The base pad would work great for you.
