Replacement Grease Seal for 6,000 Pound Dexter Axle

Question:

I have a 2014 Silverback Fifth Wheel with 6000 pound Dexter Axles with E-Z lube and electric brake. I plan on repacking my wheel bearing and would like to have new seals on hand before I start the project. My research leads me to believe Grease Seals 10-36 pair Item # RG06-070 would be the seal i need. Could you confirm that this is likely the seal that i would need?

One common grease seal size for a 6,000 lb axle has an inner diameter of 2.25" and outer diameter of 3.376" just like the # RG06-070. More than likely this matches what you have now, but you can't be 100% sure without either measuring or asking Dexter.

Dexter will have the information if you give them your serial number, or you can measure the inner diameter of your seal/measure the spindle. If you find that your seal inner diameter is 2.125" then you would need the # GS-2125DL instead.

In addition to this seal you likely have # 25580 inner and # 15123 outer bearings. We do have bearing kits available depending on the seal you need. Those are the # BK3-100 (2.25" ID grease seal) and the # BK3-110 (2.125" ID grease seal).
