We offer several trailer hitch receivers for the 2013 Dodge Journey. Both 1-1/4-inch Class II and 2-inch Class III hitches are available. Since you intend to tow I recommend a 2-inch Class III hitch as this will provide more capacity, but you can see all available hitches on the link provided.
I recommend Draw-Tite # 75648 which includes all required mounting hardware and instructions. It bolts on without need for welding. This 2-inch hitch has a 400-lb tongue weight rating and a 4000-lb gross trailer weight rating. I have linked a video showing this hitch being installed in a 2013 Journey as well as articles that cover hitch installation tips and basics of towing.
This hitch does not include the ball mount, hitch ball or hitch pin, so I suggest part # 989900, which is a complete kit with 2 ball mounts of different rise and drop, two different size hitch balls (1-7/8 and 2-inch) and a hitch pin and clip all together in a handy bag. This kit will allow you flexibility in being able to tow trailers with two different size couplers and of various heights.
For a trailer wiring harness you can use part # 118536 from Tow Ready. This is a plug-in harness that connects to your vehicle at the driver-side tail light. Once you plug in the connectors you only need to make ground wire and 12V power connections with the included wire and fasteners. This harness provides a 4-pole flat trailer connector to link your vehicle lighting functions to those on your trailer.
