Recommended Wiring To Use A Prodigy P3 Brake Controller On A 2012 Volvo XC70
Question:
Looking to see if the 2012 Volvo XC70 T6 is already wired with a pigtail plug for adding a brake control unit. I have added a trailer hitch for the car and have added this in the trunk area of the car: T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector #118774. I then added to the trailer hitch a hopkins 4 way/7 way adapter unit. Now Im looking at adding in a Tekonsha P3 brake control unit so that if any of the trailers I tow have brake resources I will also utilize them when towing, hence taking some of the wear, tear and pressure off the car brakes. let me know. Would like to figure out how to wire this up without making a mess. Thanks.

When installing The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # 90195 on your 2012 Volvo XC70 the only other part you would need would be The Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers # 5506.
Since you already have the 4 flat and the 4 flat/ 7 way connector on your Volvo The Wiring Kit For Brake Controllers # 5506 just gives you the rest of the kit needed to activate your brakes on your trailer.
I attached a review video link below.
