Replacement for Carrier Air V RV Air Conditioner
Question:
I need a replacement A/C unit for my 2008 Holiday Rambler Savoy 28 RLD, with the Carrier Air V unit. Can someone help me so I make this install as simple for me as possible and not have to run to the RV store 15 times in an hour...? Thank you,

We can help, no one wants to run to the store 15 times for additional items when doing a project. Because the Carrier Air V RV Air Conditioner is no longer produced, a direct replacement of the same unit is not an option. But we have a great replacement option available for you with the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Carrier Setup, # ACCAR150.
This is designed to replace the Carrier air conditioner you currently have installed using an adapter wiring kit enabling the AC to work with your existing, in-good-working-order Carrier air distribution box and thermostat. This new unit will also have a start capacitor that helps jumpstart the AC when camp power or generator power isn't enough. This is a bolt-on installation that includes wiring harness and mounting hardware.
If you care to add a heat strip, the Electric Heat Strip for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners, # ACMHD is the proper part number.
