From my research, I found that a 26 foot Airstream TT can weigh up to around 5000 lbs.
By sway 'bar/proper hitch', I'm assuming you're speaking of a weight distribution hitch with sway control.
As a first step, I typically recommend that folks load up their trailer so it's all ready to go as you'd typically tow it, complete with all your gear, and full propane and water tanks (if that's how you tow it). Then, find the trailer's tongue weight. I'll link to a help article that explains a few ways of doing this. You'll also want to consider the weight of anything carried in the bed of the truck behind the rear axle as tongue weight, as well.
I'd recommend a weight distribution system with an integrated sway control system, because travel trailers are very susceptible to trailer sway caused by crosswinds or from turbulence from passing or oncoming traffic.
The Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0800 would be the ideal choice for travel trailers with tongue weights ranging from 400-800 lbs which is very likely the range your travel trailer would fall into. If you find the trailer tongue weight is greater than 800 lbs, use the next highest Fastway e2 model, part # FA92-00-1000.
The trailer ball is sold separately as # A-90 for a 2 inch or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball. You'll need a 1-7/8 inch thin walled socket to install the trailer ball. If you don't have one or can't borrow one we offer them as part # EQ70-00-4800.
