I can help you get your 2020 Jeep Wrangler set up for towing. Since you don't have a hitch I'll go ahead and recommend one and all the parts you will need to tow your trailer. You will need a couple of wiring harnesses, a brake controller, and a ball mount as well. I have added a few installation videos below that will help walk you through the installation process for these parts.

We'll start out with your hitch., I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # DT78MR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your Jeep with included hardware. It is the highest rated hitch available for your model Wrangler with a 4,500 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and a 675 lbs tongue weight capacity. You will want to verify with your owners manual what your Jeep's towing capacity is.

To add a 7-way to your Jeep you will need two different wiring harnesses. The first is the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118786. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. This will provide you with a 4-flat vehicle connector.

The second harness you will need is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your vehicle with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it.

For your brake controller I highly recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite item # RED44FR. This is a proportional brake controller that will engage your trailer's brakes when your Jeep decelerates. It activates immediately and is not time delayed. The Tow-Pro Elite has a unique installation method that allows you to mount the main control unit out of sight behind your dash. The only part visible is the control knob.

You will need the Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter item # 331-TPH-017 and the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers item # 3073-P. The Tekonsha Plug-In Adapter will plug into the factory port beneath the dash of your Wrangler at one end and to the Tow Pro harness at the other end by way of the Redarc Adapter for a completely plug-and-play install. This is everything you need for a simple installation.

We have a couple of other mounting options for the control knob that can go inside inserts in your dash. This will give you a clean factory look install. The Universal Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob item # 331-TPSI-001 which measures 1-1/4 by 1 inch. There is also the option of using the Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob item # 331-TPSI-002 for the more standard knock-out measuring 1-1/4 by 7/8 inch.

To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
