Can ETBC7L Wire to 12V Jack in Rear of 2020 Hyundai Palisade
Question:
Adding 7-Way Connector to 2020 Hyundai Palisade One quick question, if I only want power black wire on top of current 4 pin assume no wire for power, can I simply connect this black wire into cigarette jack on the trunk? palisade has 12V jack on trunk to avoid wiring into the car? Thanks

You are correct that the 4-way for your 2020 Hyundai Palisade, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # CU94FR, does not have a 12-volt power lead. However, the 12-volt power lead must only be run to your battery and not any other accessory outlet when installing the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L.
The reason is this is the only way to ensure your car's wiring is not otherwise affected as it may not be rated for that much amperage. If you wanted the # ETBC7L for using a wireless brake controller, you would need the 12-volt, ground, and turn signals connected to the 7-way; that would allow you to use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.
