Bike Rack That Will Fold On Front Of 2015 Ford F-250 With Curt Front Receiver Hitch
Question:
We installed the Curt front hitch for Ford 2015 F-250 4x4 to install the Yakima On Ramp rack that we also bought from you. Unfortunately, the On Ramp rack will not fold up and lock into position as the front bumper on the 2015 F-250 protrudes just enough to not allow ramp lock in. I know I can buy a hitch extender but since I am not crazy about the Yakima anyway I am considering the Hollywood RV rack. Do you know if the Hollywood rack will fold up and lock in using my Curt front hitch setup with this year truck?

The Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY94FR is the only rack style bike carrier that I can find that has a longer hitch pin length when folded up. The Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack that you have and the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack # HLY64FR will both require 7-1/2" from the hitch pin center hole of your Curt Front Receiver # C31018 to the front of the bumper for the rack to fold up. The Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY94FR will be 10" from the hitch pin center hole when folded, but it will have a lower weight capacity at only 35lbs per bike.
If your bikes are over the 35lbs for the Destination bike rack your best option will likely be the Hitch Extender # HE06. While this will reduce the capacity of the Curt receiver from 500lbs to 250lbs it will still allow for the maximum weight allowed by either Yakima or Hollywood Racks with their maximum weight bikes.
