You can add a 7-way to your 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, and I'm going to assume you do not have the factory tow package. The first thing you'll need to do is add a 4-way (if you do not have one) which will control your lighting functions, and then the 7-way adapter, which will give you a way to use a brake controller, as well as connect to your battery for the 12 volt that can provide your trailer batter a maintenance charge. Here is exactly what you'll need:
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118415
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
You'll just plug the 4-way into the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7, which also gives you the wiring, circuit breakers, and rest of the hardware needed for the installation.
