How to Pick Out a Ball Mount for a 2007 Nissan Titan with a Curt Hitch Towing Rental Trailer
Question:
Hi I have a 2007 Nissan Titan 4x4 crew cab. I am going to order the Curt Trailer Hitch - 13199 . I do not know which ball mount I need to buy? I am planning to rent a trailer at the end of the month. Can you help? Thank you

The Curt Trailer Hitch # C11315 that you referenced would be the correct hitch for your 2007 Nissan Titan. In order to pick out the correct ball mount for you will need to know the height of the trailer coupler. Check out the FAQ article I attached that shows how to determine the correct rise/drop ball mount for a setup.
Since you do not know the height of the trailer you plan on towing you have a couple options. You could get an adjustable height ball mount, you could call the company that rents the trailers and ask what the height of the coupler is when the trailer sits level and then use the FAQ I attached to determine what rise/drop you would need.
For an adjustable ball mount check out the Convert-a-Ball Adjustable-Height Ball Mount # TK5007. What would be nice about this ball mount is that if at some point you need to tow a trailer with a different height than your rental you would be able to adjust it to what you need and be good to go.
