Can Powerbuilt Thin Walled Socket Reach Nut if There's 1 inch of Thread Showing on Shank
Question:
Hello, Question: I have a Curt Trailer Ball #40022 that will leave about 1 shank past the nut once tightened, is this socket deep enough to reach the ball nut with 1 of shank past the nut. I wanted a ball with a shank length of 2 5/8 but was not available so ended up with one that is 3. Figure this is okay since it will not interfere with anything on the distribution hitch, and will leave more than 3 threads past the nut. Thanks, if it will not work, do you have an in expensive suggestion for a socket that will work, not wanting to spend a lot of money since this will only be used for tightening the ball nut. Appreciate your help.

Yes, the 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 is deep enough to work with what you mentioned. It would still reach the nut with the amount of threads you mentioned showing.
