Class I Trailer Hitch Fit for 2016 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0i Limited
Question:
I am looking for a 1 1/4 inch class 1 hitch for my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0i Limited. I am only planning on using a bike rake and never towing anything. Can you please provide me with some item options.

Both Draw-Tite and Curt offer a Class I hitch for your 2016 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0i Limited.
Because the Curt # C11286 hitch is manufactured in the US, and because its install is a little easier (you won't need to temporarily lower the exhaust) I'd recommend it over the Draw-Tite # DT24959.
I'll link to a video showing the hitch being installed on a 2016 Crosstrek like yours. In the video, you might notice that our installer mentions that Curt requires a support strap for non-trailer loads such as bike racks. Curt no longer has this requirement, so you won't need anything other than the hitch to carry your bike rack.
You'll want to keep in mind that the hitch and bike rack manufacturers agree that only two bikes should be carried on a bike rack used on a Class I hitch. Adding additional bikes would move the load further rearward from the receiver tube, placing additional leverage on the hitch which could damage the hitch or its attachment points to the vehicle.
If you don't already have a bike rack, or don't have a specific one in mind I'd be happy to make some suggestions for you.
