Availability of Equal-i-zer Shank for 2-1/2 inch Hitch without Sleeve Adapter
Question:
What 2.5 inch shank for my ford f250 super duty will work with an equalizer sway control weight distribution system without using a sleeve and also be long enough to be able to open my tail gate when attached in at least a 1000/10000 lb rating?

We have the Equal-i-zer shank part # EQ90-02-4900 which fits 2-1/2 inch hitches directly without use of a sleeve adapter. This has a 16,000 lb towing capacity and is 8 inches from it's hitch pin hole to the adjustment holes which you can use that measurement to determine if it would be enough clearance for your tailgate.
