Recommended Snow Tire Chains For My 2021 Toyota Highlander

Question:

I need snow chains for a 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid for a two week vacation for Colorado skiing. I believe its only about a 20 chance Ill need them, but I want to be prepared. However, I also do not want to spend too much as use is unlikely. Will the $85 Titan ones work fine? I see there is also a slightly more expensive $120 ish Titan model with a different chain type. Is that better? What would you recommend for me? Thanks.

I did some research and I checked the owner's manual of your 2021 Toyota Highlander. You will need to use a Class S compatible snow tire chain, they are the only snow tire chains that meet your owner's manual tolerances. They are designed for tight wheel well clearances. The Titan chains, part # TC2829, and , part # TC2829CAM, you are inquiring about are not Class S compatible snow tire chains. If you use them, you do so at your own risk

If you have the 235/55-20 tire on your vehicle, you have fewer options. My recommendation is the Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - XG12 Pro - Size 255, part # TH2004705255

If you have the 235-65-18 tires on your vehicle, I recommend the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - 1 Pair, part # TC2323, instead. This is a Class S compatible snow tire chain that can be manually tensioned.

I have included product description links and videos of each of these snow tire chains being installed on a 2021 Toyota Highlander below.
