Will the Rhino Rack Batwing Awning Work with Yakima CoreBar Crossbars  

Question:

I am wanting to buy a rhino rack awning, however I am aware that they require T slots to mount onto crossbars. I have Yakima CoreBars, no T slots. Are there adaptors out there that would allow me to fix a Rhino Rack awning to my crossbars?

I do have an option for you but the Rhino Rack Batwing Awnings are designed to mount in top channels so they won't work with the Yakima CoreBar Crossbars. Instead, I recommend the Yakima SlimShady Awning part # Y56VR, part # Y36VR, or part # Y96VR which uses wraparound clamps so no top channel is needed. These won't offer as much coverage as some of the Batwing awnings but they are still great options for getting in the shade.

If you are set on the Rhino-Rack Batwing Awning like part # RR33100 then you'll need to switch to Yakima JetStream Crossbars like part # Y00426.
