Best Anti-Rattle Device To Keep A Bike Rack Secure In A Gen-Y Hitch

Question:

I would be using this as a RISE for a bike rack. Can I use the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2inch Trailer Hitches # RM-061 to stop Rattle? I already own it... Or do I need to use a pin type product. Please provide a few good options to keep the bike rack steady. Thanks!

Due to the somewhat odd shape of the Gen-Y Rebel Ball Mount # GY62FR, the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 will not be able to keep a bike rack from moving around once installed. However, I do need to mention that Gen-Y does not recommend using non-Gen-Y accessories in the Rebel. With that being said, the Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-305 can be used with bike racks, cargo carriers, and other accessories that are not Gen-Y products. The design of this shank will also not have any problem with the Quiet Hitch # RM-061.

If you do already have the Gen-Y Rebel # GY62FR and will use it with one of their accessories, the Gen-Y Anti-Rattle Clamp # GY88XR will be a good option to keep it secure.
