What Snow Tire Chains Will Fit My 2021 Volvo XC60

Question:

Looking for recommendation on using these on Volvo XC60, tire size 255 45R20. Etrailer recommends this tire chain for the specified tire size however, the Volvo manual states to use one sided tire chains only. Are these chains safe to use even though they secure on the inside tire wall and are low profile, class S compatible? Options for one sided tire chains are limited and the Thule Summit one sided chains don’t have the best reviews.

You are correct, these snow tire chains do fit the 255/45R 20 tires. But these snow tire chains are not compatible with your 2021 Volvo XC60. If you are adhering to your owner's manual the Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - K-Summit XXL - Size K66, part # TH02230K66, will be an option. They are one sided tire chains that secure to your wheel via the lug nuts. The nice thing about this snow tire chain is that it will not damage your rims.

If you do decide to go with a Class S compatible snow tire chain, you do so at your own risk. I have included a video that shows how these snow tire chains are installed below.
