Troubleshooting A MaxxAir MaxxFan 4900N Cover That Won't Lift Or Retract

My RV fan will come on but the vent wont open. I put a new motor in , seems like its not getting enough power to open or close vent.

Since you believe it may be a power issue I first recommend checking the voltage with a multimeter like # PT89ZR and ensuring you have 12v powering the unit. If you do then we know this isn't the cause.
The next step would be to replace the operator mechanism which controls the lifting and closing of the vent cover. For a 4900n model you would need the Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vents # MA10-20281K-1AF. It could simply be the your operator is shot or the gears are too worn.
