Recommended Replacement 3,500 Lbs Dexter Axle With A 86.5 Hub Face Measurement

Question:

I am sourcing a single 3,500 # Dexter Axle for my travel trailer. * Series D35 * HF = 86.50 * SC = 68.50 The Dexter # on the mfg sticker: 5886681. Not sure that helps. I can send a photo of the mfg label if that helps. Thank you very much.

I do have an option that will work for you, but the closest we can come to a standard axle with the same measurements you provided is the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with EZ-Lube Spindles - 89" Long - 3,500 lbs, part # T3584F-EZ-8974. The hub face measurement is 89", which will add 2-1/2" in length to your axle. The spring center measurement is 74", so you would have to remove your current spring seats and replace them with part # TRSS238, which would be welded in the correct place.

You can also go with something like the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Straight Spindle Only - 3,500 lbs, part # ASR3500S05. It is an axle-less system that bolts onto the frame of your trailer. You will not have to worry about the axle not being the correct length. The Timbren spring will provide a smoother, more stable ride.

I have included a product description links and demo video links below.
