Recommended Under Body Work Light for Wheels/Tire on Dump/Utility Trailer
Question:
I live in a very dark rural area and am looking to add some lighting to a dump trailer to help navigate narrow logging roads in poor light. I am considering one of your part number 3371492139, BUL72CB or BUL52CB What I would like to do is mount a weatherproof light under each step to help me see where the wheels are whether moving forward or backward. For these down lights, can you give me a sense of how each of the products mentioned above would perform in this scenario? I would like to light the tire itself as well as much of the ground ahead/behind each tire as possible. Also interested in your thoughts as to a good flood or floods to use as a reverse light on the trailer.

It sounds like you are looking for more of a work light rather than a traditional backup/reverse light. The backup/reverse light will project the beam straight out whereas a work light will project the beam to cover a larger area. I can't really make a specific recommendation for said light as none are really designed to be installed on a trailer pointed down at the wheels but I have attached for you a list of our entire work light selection which I feel would be better suited for your idea than a traditional backup/reverse light would.
The LED Flood Light part # 3371492139 for example is very small light that casts a beam with a greater spread so it could be used as an under body light pointed at the wheels. It also has a water resistant housing.
