Will Draw Tite Hitch # 75148 for 2003-2007 Nissan Murano Also Fit the 2012 Model Year Murano
Question:
I currently have a 2004 Murano that I put a hitch on Draw-Tite 75148 about a year ago. We are going to reeplace the car with a 2012 Murano. Will my hitch fit on the new Murano or do I need the new style e65AR?

The Draw-Tite Hitch # 75148 for your 2004 Nissan Murano unfortunately will not fit the 2012 model year. It fits model years 2003 through 2007. You will need to use the etrailer hitch # e65AR that you referenced.
The new Class III hitch has the same 2-inch receiver opening but offers higher tongue weight and gross towing weight ratings than the unit on your 2004 Murano (400/4000-lbs versus 350/3500-lbs). Hitch # e65AR installs without drilling but does require temporary lowering of the exhaust, removal of the tie-down bracket and trimming or removal of under-body panel.
I have linked the installation instructions showing this product being installed on the 2013 Murano as well as an article that provides useful tips for hitch installation.
