In order to have a 7-way installed on your 2022 Subaru Outback wagon, you first need to have a 4-way installed. If you need a 4-way, I recommend the T-One Wiring Harness # 118467. This harness comes with a higher-quality converter box than the competitor Curt # C56040.
Once the 4-way is installed, you need the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 for the 7-way harness. With this harness, you will be able to have a fully-functional brake controller. If you need a ball mount/ball to complete the setup, I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45534. This kit also comes with a hitch cover and a locking hitch pin.
