If your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon does not already have a Hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, # DT73RR. This is a Class III hitch with a maximum gross trailer weight of 4,500 lbs. and max tongue weight of 675 lbs. This will definitely handle your pop-up camper but please note that the hitch ratings are limited by the max tow ratings of your vehicle. Please refer to your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon's Owners manual for vehicle specific ratings. The max tow rating is listed online at 3,500 lbs. but will vary within specific trim level packages.

For a lighting solution, I suggest the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Connector, # HM11143885. The T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring, so no cutting or splicing is required. This provides a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. However, if your camper has a brake axle then it will have the 7-way RV style and you will need to add on the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires, # ETBC7.

For a brake controller, I suggest the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller, # C51180. This Bluetooth-enabled brake controller wirelessly connects to your smartphone, turning your phone into a brake control interface. The compact unit plugs in line with your 7-way trailer connector - no complicated install and no bulky cab-mounted unit.

Please note the linked product review and installation videos below for each of the items listed above.
