Recommended Starboard Sided Hand Winch For A Boat Trailer

Question:

Hello! On your hand cranks for boat trailers, the handle is always on the port left side. Because I want to mount a boarding ladder on port side of trailer tongue, can the winch handle rod be reversed so I can crank it up on the starboard right side? Please advise and/or give me a customer service number to one of the crank mfg. Your reply will be sincerely appreciated! Thank you,

Ahoy matey, we do carry a few options with starboard side handles to pull your boat back up on dry land. We have weight capacities ranging from 800lbs - 2,500lbs listed below.

Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch w/ Automatic Brake - Zinc TUFFPLATE Finish - Left Side Handle - 800lbs # DL74FR.

Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch w/ Automatic Brake - TUFFPLATE Finish - Left Side Handle - 1,200lbs # DL16331.

Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch - TUFFPLATE Finish - 2 Speed - Direct Drive - Left Side Handle - 2,500lbs # DL15403.

These winches do not come with a strap so I recommend also getting the Hand Winch Strap with Safety Hook, 2" Wide x 25' Long - 4,000lbs # DL24249. This strap has a maximum load strength (break strength) of 4,000lbs
and safe working load limit (WLL) of 2,600lbs so you can rest assured your boat isn't being precariously winched back up onto your trailer.
