Is Trimming of Bumper Fascia Needed to Install Trailer Hitch on 2022 Honda CR-V
Question:
I need to install a 2 inch hitch on my 2022 Honda CR-V. Will I need to trim the rear bumper cover to install the hitch?

All the hitches available for your 2022 Honda CR-V would require that a small 3 x 1-3/8 inch portion of the underside of the bumper fascia be trimmed so the receiver can pass through the fascia. The good news is that the area than needs to be trimmed is on the underside of the fascia, so it won't be very visible from the rear of the vehicle.
I'd recommend the Curt # C13397. When the hitch is installed, the majority of the hitch will be concealed behind the bumper fascia. The only portion of the hitch that will be visible is the receiver opening and the safety chain loops.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing purposes, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness, part # 118741, a ball mount like # 2753, and a trailer ball like # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
