Comparing Trailer Hitches that Fit 2014 Honda CR-V
Question:
I want to have a trailer hitch put on my 2014 Honda CRV. Could you give me more detail on comparing your different tow hitchs and where I can get instructions on installation or where I can go to get it installed idmf I cannot do the job at home?

For your 2014 Honda CR-V we have two hitch sizes available. The smaller and very light duty 1-1/4 inch size and the much more popular and versatile 2 inch size which has higher towing capacities. I would say that you will want the 2 inch size as whenever available they are the way to go. So that narrows down the options a bit and it comes down to which 2 inch hitch?
At this point you have two very distinct options. The mostly hidden but longer to install EcoHitch part # 306-X7297 which only has the hitch opening that hangs below the rear bumper or the easier to install but more visible Curt # C13119. The EcoHitch tends to cost more too as it's made from recycled metal.
So if you value an easier install and don't mind the longer more visible hitch the Curt is the way to go. But if you want something mostly out of sight go with the EcoHitch.
I attached install videos for both hitches for you to check out and see if you think you could handle the install. If you decide to have someone else do it we have an installer locator on our product pages as well.
