I have a solution for you. You will need five to six different items depending on vehicle and motorhome. A base plate, Tow-Bar, Braking System, Wire Harness, High-Low adapter and Safety Cables.

I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX2628, it provides a custom fit to your Ford Edge and the arms can be removed from the plate when not in use so you can't see them.

Next I recommend a tow-bar like the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,000 lbs
# BX7420. It is self aligning and has long arms to improve turning radius, this model also comes with safety cables so you wont need to buy them separate.

For your wiring I recommend the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # HM56001. This will sync your tow vehicle lights with the motorhome lights.

Then you need the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # HM39524. This will give you control of your towed vehicles brakes, syncing them with the motorhome to keep you sage and legal.

Lastly you will need to make sure your vehicle and motor home are in line and level with each other, if the tow bar is to low or to high it can cause issues and premature wear and tear on your suspension system.

You can measure from the ground to the center of the receiver of the motor home then measure from the ground to your base plate connection. You will need to make sure these are within 3 inches of each other. If they are to far apart you can you a Roadmaster High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars - 2" Hitches - 4" Rise/Drop - 6K GTW, 200 lbs TW
# RM-070
