Is Adapter Bar Required When Transporting Womans Bicycle on the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT

Does the Thule Doubletrack Hitch Rack require the use of an adapter bar when carrying a girls bicycle? Thanks for your information.

You should not need a frame adapter bar, such as the Thule # TH982XT, when transporting womens or girls bikes on the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT, part # TH92BJ. The Doubletrack uses two independently-adjustable ratcheting arms to grip the bike frames. These can be positioned as low on the central mast as required to provide a solid grip on the main frame tube of even womens or kids bikes.
Please refer to the photo provided which shows a typical womens bike with an angled top frame tube. The Doubletrack easily accommodates such bikes without need for an adapter bar.
