Can My Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 13439 Move From a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox to a New 2022 Equinox
Question:
I have a Curt receiver # 13439 installed on my 2019 Equinox and I'm trading it in on a new 2022 Equinox. Can I transfer the receiver to my new car or will I have to get a new receiver?

Expert Reply:
Yes, your Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C77FR (13439) will fit a 2018 to 2022 Chevrolet Equinox or GMC Terrain as long as it does not have a diesel engine. These model years have remained unchanged for the frame mounts of the Receiver.
Since the mounting hardware is only designed to be torqued down once you will need a Replacement Hardware Kit # RHK for your receiver. This will ensure you have all new carriage bolts, nuts, square hole spacers and the fish wires to install the receiver on your new Equinox.
The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector
Item # C94FR will connect to the factory tow package wiring that is located behind the rear bumper.
If you have a Premier trim you will need a different Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118759 as this will require you to tie into the tail light wiring due to the LED tail lights on the Premier trim.
With either wiring harness the Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58001 will allow you to mount the 4-way connector to the end of the 2" receiver tube for a secure mount that is easily accessible when you need it.
