What is Purpose of Metal Cable on Top of Titan Model 60 Actuator

Question:

What is the wire coming out of the hitch ...I never noticed it before and assume it was attached or part of one of the Safety lines that attach along with the hitch. Is this line if pulled is it reuseable, do you just hook it back up to the back fo the vehicle with the safety lines?

The metal cable on top of the Titan actuator part # T43397007K is the breakaway cable. This attaches to your tow vehicle so that in the event the trailer was to become disconnected the brakes of the trailer would apply to stop it and prevent it from running away and possibly hitting someone. You can reset the breakaway as well.

I've spoken with Titan about resetting their model 60 actuator breakaway levers in the past and they have told me that you have to remove the cover and then carefully remove the spring inside. Then set the lever in the disengaged position and re-insert the spring.
