Will Bikes with Fenders Fit on the Thule T2 Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Racks

i have two electra townie 26 inch girl bikes with fenders. can i secure them on the th69tx rack?

Bikes with fenders pose a problem for the Thule T2 Pro XTR, # TH69TX. Fenders often times cover most of the top of the tire and the T2 is not able to safely secure the bikes because you would have to place the hooks so low on the tire.

A bike rack like the Thule Doubletrack, # TH92BJ, would be a better option because it holds the bikes at the frame.

If the 70 pound capacity on the Doubletrack is not enough, take a look at the Sport Rider SE2, # HR1450Z. It has a 100 pound capacity (50 pounds per bike).

And if 100 pounds is not enough, take a look at the Sport Rider made for electric bikes # HLY84FR which can handle an amazing 80 pounds per bike. Both of the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider bike racks will only fit in 2 inch hitches. The Doubletrack fits in 1-1/4 or 2 inch hitches.
