Replacement Straight Axle Spindles For the Lippert Axle On a 2019 K-Z Sportsmen Classic 180TH
Question:
I have a 2019 KZ 180TH. I have a lippert 5k axle with spindles. I would like to replace it with a straight axle like they use in the off road models. Would I be able to use a dexter straight axle and reuse my current lippert hubs and brakes and if so can you confirm witch axle I will need?

I have an option that may work out for you as we do not have any axles that will have the same hub face dimensions as your Lippert axle in your 2019 K-Z Sportsmen Classic 180TH.
You can have your drop spindle that is currently welded on your Lippert axle cut off and replace it with a #42 E-Z Lube Spindle w/ Flange # TRU37FR straight spindle. This spindle has the same dimensions as your current Lippert axle so you will still be able to use your current hubs and brakes.
You can get the Bearing Kit # BK3-100 to replace your current bearings and seals which may be worn from use.

I have a drop axle on my trailer and the axle sits on top of the spring,is this correct, what I have seen is the drop axle mounted under the spring, I need ground clearance, would it be OK to remove the axle and install it under the spring, that would give me the clearance I need?
