Recommended 7-Way Extension With Trailer End Connectors for Cab Over Camper on 2022 Silverado 2500
Question:
My cabover camper only has 6 wires hooked up to the female harness at the front of the camper on driver side. White and black thicker and then the red, green, blue and brown. Is this normal for an older camper? Also, I currently have a 12foot cord that runs underneath the truck and up between the cab and bed that has the male end to plug in the camper for when I travel. I have a new truck and would like to be able to use the bed mounted harness wiring the plugs into the trailer wiring harness under the back of the truck. Trying to figure out how to find a 12foot long cord that has that adapter that can plug into the trailer wiring harness that will have a male end or use the rear of bed new receptacle and reroute the existing wire to it thru the camper? Seems kinda weird to have the connection inside the bed like that. Hard to plug in!

As far as I know that is not something that is normal for an older camper. More than likely the blue wire has taken the place of the yellow wire for some reason since you have no need for a brake controller. The 7-way connection in the bed of your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 is designed for 5th wheel/gooseneck towing so that is the reason why it is located there.
In order to connect the 7-way on your vehicle to the camper you need wiring with two trailer end connectors on it like the 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector - Double-Ended # TK43VR.
Although we do not have a 12' cable, the Bargman 7-Way Molded Connector w/ 15' Cable - Trailer End # 50-67-103 will work and you could shorten it if need be. You will also need another connector, like the Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector - Trailer End # PK12706. Connect this to the other end of the Bargman cable and you should be able to get your camper connected to your truck.
