Recommended 4-Way Harness And Ball Mount For Towing a U-Haul Utility Trailer With a 2020 Mazda CX-5
Question:
I just installed your receiver e98902 on my 2021 Mazda CX-5 but now I need a ball mount and wiring harness to tow a U-Haul utility trailer. Can you tell me what parts I need?

I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118746 for your 2021 Mazda CX-5. This harness uses factory style connectors to plug into your tail light harness so that you do not have to splice into your tail light wiring. This will give you a 4-way flat connector that you need to operate the tail lights on the U-Haul trailer.
With the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98902 already installed on your Mazda you should have a receiver height of 13" to the inside top portion of the receiver and 3" from the hitch pin hole to the rear of your bumper.
The U-Haul trailer that you are looking to pull with have a coupler height of 18" so you will need a Curt Ball Mount # C45336 that has a 5" rise. The couplers on them are multi-fit but I recommend a 2" Hitch Ball # A-90 as more trailers will use this size if you find yourself hauling a different trailer.
