What Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier Do You Recommend for My 2021 Tesla Model X?
Question:
What roof rack and kayak carrier do you recommend for a 2021 Tesla Model X?

Currently, the best option for mounting your kayak carrier on your 2021 Tesla Model X is the SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SX6000B. The Monkey Bars involve the easiest installation and removal process out of any roof rack we carry on etrailer. As far as weight capacity, the Monkey Bars provide an impressive maximum capacity of 150 pounds. I recommend consulting with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure your roof can accommodate that much weight. You can add extra theft-deterrence to the Monkey bars with the cable lock # e98891 and the SeaSucker Cable Anchor # 298-BA0020.
For the kayak carrier itself, I recommend the Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs # Y04073. The JayLow gives you the option to transport 1 kayak (in the J-position) or 2 kayaks (in the vertical position). It includes built-in ramps on the side of the cradles to make loading easier. While the JayLow does include 1 set of tie-down straps and bow/stern ties, you will need to purchase an additional set of Yakima Bow/Stern Ties # Y04031 for a second kayak. You can add additional security to your JayLow with the Yakima Same-Key System Lock Cores # Y07202.
