Today we'll be taking a look at the Seasucker Trunk Mounted Cable Anchor, part number 298-BA0020. This stainless steel rubber coated trunk clip allows you to safely secure your bikes when using the Seasucker Bike Rack. It simply sits under your truck lid providing a secure lock point. You will have to provide your own cable lock; however, we do have many different options here at etrailer.com. Now we'll show you how easy it is to use. Since it's fully rubber coated, it won't harm your vehicle anywhere it touches. You want to avoid any areas such as trim or tail lights.
Simply set it in between the trunk and the body and close the lid. Now we'll just pass the cable lock through, run it through our bike frames, and attaching it to itself. Insert the anchor into your trunk seam, shut the trunk, then run your cable lock through the hole in the anchor.It is exactly what it says it is. Has a nice layer to help not to damage your vehicle. I think that it would still be possible to get this thing out, it might take a few minutes and it will damage your trunk - I wouldn't leave it up to this device to keep my expensive bikes on my car for longer than a trip in the store, lunch, etc.
Sturdy and fits in securely in the trunk lid gap. Plastic coating means no worries about damage to paint. Pretty simple. Does what it says on the box!
