Parts Needed To Install A Curt Assure Trailer Brake Controller On a 2012 Jeep Wrangler No Tow Wires

To install the Curt Assure Trailer Brake Controller # C49UR on your 2012 Jeep Wrangler you will need some additional parts. If you have absolutely no trailer wiring you will need everything I am about to list, you will be able to disregard any parts that you already have.
I'll start with the trailer connector. A brake controller requires a 7-way blade connector, for that you will need our Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. This kit will include the 7-way connector wiring, relays, and mount for the connector. This will connect to the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118416 4-way flat connector that operates the brake lights, turn signals and running lights on the trailer.
Lastly you will need a Universal Wiring Adapter # C51515 to connect to the connection on the brake controller to wire into the harness. The brake switch wire that you will connect to the red wire of this adapter should be the white wire with a brown tracer coming off the brake switch. Be sure to test this ahead of time with the test light that comes with the # ETBC7 Kit.
