Trailer Hitch Fit for 1991 Ford F-150
Question:
Can you just buy a hitch receiver with the other gear instead of a full hitch for this truck?

I'm not sure what you mean when you refer to the 'other gear'.
The hitch you'd looked at, part # 75038 is a fit for a 1991 Ford F150 pickup (but not cab/chassis trucks).
If you needed the trailer wiring harness, you'd use part # 118316 for a 4 pole trailer connector or # 20023 for a 7-way connector. For a ball mount, I'd recommend part # AMSC2. For a trailer ball, use # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
If you were needing something else, please let me know. I've linked to installation instructions for the products I mentioned above.
