Recommended 7-Way and 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness for 2018 Honda Pilot
Question:
Our 2018 Honda Pilot Elite has a previous installed trailer hitch, but no wiring harness. We may use a regular flat bed trailer to haul a riding lawn mower or a small RV. Is there a recommended harness that will work for both an RV and a flat bed trailer? I am a woman who is not knowledgeable on trailer hauling. Thanks

The easiest way to have both a 4-pole and a 7-way trailer connector for your 2018 Honda Pilot would be to begin by installing a 7-way trailer connector, part # 118286 and then use an adapter like # PK12716 when you want to tow a trailer with a 4-pole connector. I've linked to videos for both these products.
There's an alternative if you'd rather not mess with an adapter. You can use a T-harness like part # 118384 which would plug inline between the 7-way and the harness provided by the # 118286, as shown in the typical install video I've linked for you.
