Recommended Bike Rack for Vehicle Flat Towed Behind RV
Question:
Will the sport rider rack work on the back of the tow car behind the motor home

We do offer a solution that would work for you, but the SportRider wouldn't be a good choice. Per Hollywood Racks, their SportRider bike rack, such as part # HLY84FR isn't compatible for use on a flat towed vehicle because it hasn't tested it for that purpose.
The only rack Hollywood Racks recommend for use on a flat towed vehicle is their RV Rider rack you'd looked at, part # HLY64FR. The RV Rider features sliding frame clamps that can hold a bike by the top tube or the seat post tube, so it's compatible with most bikes, except for those with carbon fiber frames. The rack includes a hitch lock, locking frame clamps and a cable lock to help deter theft. The rack can handle two bikes weighing up to 80 lbs each with tires up to 5 inches wide. The rack is super-versatile.
If your bikes don't have fenders, and weigh less than 60 lbs each with tires 3 inches or less wide, the Kuat Transfer V2 # KU84FR can also be used on a flat towed vehicle. I really like the rack's simple design and it's U-shaped frame allows you go more easily load the inner-most bike without trashing out your back.
I've linked to a product demonstration video for the RV Rider bike rack as well as the Kuat rack I mentioned.
