My Lid on My MaxxAir Model 4751 KS Does not Engage and Lift the Lid Without the Initial Assist
Question:
When activated by the wall mounted control or manually the lid must be pushed up a couple of inches before it will catch and open. The motor runs fine, it just doesnt engage and lift the lid without that initial assist.

I have an answer for you. While we cannot guarentee the issue, one of the most common issues with your MaxxAir model 4751 ks is that even if it sounds like the operating mechanism is working, it is skipping a gear on the operating mechanism. The way you can tell is that if you can turn the turning mechanism on your fan and you hear a clicking sound, that is a sure sign that it needs to be replaced. If that is the case, I recommend the Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vents # MA10-20281K-1AF. I went ahead and attached a video to this response that walks you through more details of the operator mechanism.
