Can the trunk of 2020 RAV 4 be opened when the Hollywood Destination 2 bike rack is folded up?

Can the trunk be opened when the Hollywood Destination 2 bike rack is folded up? I have a 2020 RAV4. And I intend to install a Curt class III 2inch hitch receiver. Thanks!

I do have a solution that might work for you, but it would require you to go with another hitch bike rack. The rear hatch of your 2020 RAV4 will not be able to open while the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # HLY94FR, is attached to your vehicle and in the folded up position. The shank of this rack has 9" rise so your choice of hitch receiver will not make a difference. Unfortunately, this is not going to be just limited to this hitch bike rack. You will not be able to open your hatch with any of these racks in the folded up position.
My suggestion is to add the Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks - 2" Hitches, part # Y02483. Anytime you add a hitch extender, you reduce the maximum tongue weight of your vehicle by 50%. In addition, since you cannot use two adapters together in the same system, you will need to go with a dedicated 2" hitch bike rack. You will no longer be able to use hitch bike racks that can fit 1-1/4" and 2" trailer hitches.
I would go with the Swagman Dispatch Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # S44FR. It is a 2" hitch bike rack that has a 45 lb weight limit per bike.
