I have a couple choices for putting a brake controller on your 2016 Jeep Wrangler as there is not a plug and play connector that will plug into your Wrangler even with the factory 7-way and allow you to mount a brake controller in the cab of your Jeep.
A Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 will plug into your 7-way and allow you to controller your trailer brakes with a smartphone using the Curt Echo app. As long as your 7-way has power going to the charge line connector inside the 7-way this is the easiest option for adding a brake controller.
If you would rather have a brake controller mounted inside your cab on your Jeep I have linked an installation below that show a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 being installed on a similar Jeep with the factory 7-way. You will also need the Wiring Kit # 5506 to complete the installation of the controller.
