Recommended Weight Distribution System for V-Nose Trailer with 450 Lb Tongue Weight
Question:
Looking at Weight Distribution hitches. I have a 21 GMC Sierra and I have a 6x12 Enclosed V nose trailer it weighs 3k that has a tongue weight of 450lbs loaded. My truck currently has a receiver in it of 7 inches as the truck has a 4 inch lift. I noticed when towing the trailer that the truck felt a little light on the front somehow and the angle indicator on the truck on a flat surface indicated 1degree sag. I could see it for sure which really surprises me for a 1/2T truck. Whats my best choice while remaining Economical?

I do have options for you but using a weight distribution system on a v-nose trailer causes problems for most systems as there is no place to mount the clamp-on or bolt-on frame brackets. That said, I do still have an option for you in the in the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System with Chain Hangers for Reese Weight Distribution Systems part # RP58305. This system in addition to working with v-nose trailers also provide class leading sway control. For a 450 lb tongue weight I recommend part # RP66072. The only other thing you'll need is a hitch ball like part # A-90 and drop shank like part # RP69FR.
If you need a different size ball or drop shank please let me know.
