Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch That Is Quiet To Tow Venture STT343VIK Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a 19 Nissan Titan XD 4wd gas and am looking at purchasing a Venture 343vik travel trailer. I want to be able to back up without having to disconnect and will need to be trailer brake compatible. I also prefer the wdh to be less noisy. I think that the Blue Ox BXW1500 seems to be my best option. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated

The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Hitch # BXW1500 you were looking at does check the boxes of being compatible with electric trailer brakes, allows backing the trailer up with the system connected, and since it uses chains to put tension on the spring bars instead of L-brackets it will be quite a bit quieter than the majority of hitches.

Now to make sure it will be the best option for towing your Venture SportTrek Touring STT343VIK with your 2021 Nissan Titan XD 4WD you will need to confirm the total tongue weight of your setup. Total tongue weight is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to tow trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your Titan XD. The easiest way to get an accurate tongue weight measurement is with a scale like the etrailer # e99044, but there are other options shown in the included help article.

Based on the information I was able to find on your STT343VIK it has a GVWR of 10985lbs and trailer tongue weight is typically 10-15% of the trailer weight you should expect between 1099-1647lbs if you have the trailer loaded to the GVWR.

The # BXW1500 works with total tongue weights between 1000-1500lbs so it will more than likely be correct for you.

If you find your total tongue weight does not fall in this range just let me know.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
