Is The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver C13397 For A 2018 Honda CR-V Rated For Weight Distribution Hitch?
Question:
Small trailers like to sway and the CRV will squat under load. Is this hitch able to handle a weight distribution system and is there a light duty system available for a small trailer like a utility trailer that may have a C channel frame instead of a full box frame?

I have a different option for you, but none of the trailer hitch receivers confirmed to fit your 2018 Honda CR-V, including the Curt # C13397 you were looking at, are rated for using a weight distribution hitch.
Instead you can add sway control to your trailer using the Curt # 17200 with the bracket # RP26003 that gets installed on your ball mount underneath the hitch ball nut.
In regards to getting squat I recommend first making sure you are loading the trailer correctly as incorrect load placement is the most common cause for getting sway, and if too much weight is in front of the trailer axle then you will get excessive sag.
I included videos of the products mentioned and a link to an helpful article on trailer load placement for you to take a look at.
