The max towing capacity of your Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6L will depend on the trim level. For example, the Limited and Laredo have a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs.
Other trim levels for the 3.6L vary depending on whether you have the 2WD or 4WD/AWD model. In this case, the 2WD remains at 3,500 lbs and the 4WD goes up to 6,200 lbs. You will want to consult your owner's manual to find the exact towing capacity of your vehicle.
A hitch like the # C13182 Curt Receiver Hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight of 6,000 lbs and tongue weight of 600 lbs. If you find that your vehicle has a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs, that will be the limit of what you can tow despite the capacity of the hitch. If you have a trim level with a towing capacity of 6,200 lbs you will be limited by the 6,000 lbs capacity of the hitch.
If you need wiring, I recommend the # 118727 Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness. This is a custom fit part and plugs directly into existing wiring behind the tail lights on your Jeep.
I have attached installation videos of the hitch and wiring harness for your reference.
