Troubleshooting ZCI Circuit Protected Wiring Harness for 2013 Audi Q7
Question:
I have a 2013 Audi Q7 TDI Prestige. I have everything hooked up and the brakes, tail lights, left turn work fine but when the right turn is initiated both lights on my tester blink. I checked the ground and made sure it was on bare metal. In another response your tech mentioned testing each sensor connection. How do you do that?

I would start by double checking your 4-way connection. Make sure it is clean and that there is no dirt or debris that could be causing an issue.
If everything looks good, consider moving the ground. I realize you already checked to make sure it was on bare metal, but this is typically the problem when using one turn signal engages turn signals on both sides of the trailer. You may also need to run a new ground wire if there is a short.
In order to test the sensors there are a few things that could be done. First, the magnetic sensors are directionally sensitive. Make sure they are installed in the correct orientation.
Assuming they are in the correct orientation, you would need to use a circuit tester like # PTW2992 to check the wires running from the sensors.
I have attached a helpful article for troubleshooting 4-way wiring. It includes a table with common wiring issues including the the turn signal engaging both sides for your reference.
